There's great wine made made all around the globe, but some winemaking regions stand head and shoulders above the rest in the minds of wine lovers.  Much like Beyoncé or Cher these wines often need just a single word to get mouths watering.  The likes of Bordeaux, Chablis, and Rioja have had centuries burnishing their reputations but in recent decades they've been joined by newcomers like Argentinean Malbec, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and Barossa Shiraz, to name just a few.

This tasting will focus on the old world classics, tasting our way through eight different examples of white and red wine styles that have stood the test of time.

Part 2 of this tasting, looking at the new classics will be on Friday 14th February 2025 where we'll be giving them the same treatment.  These are standalone tastings so they will be just as much fun if you can only make one.
