2025 TASTINGS
Friday 11th April - Who Does It Better? SOLD OUT
7:00pm - 8:30pm
£20 per person
The grape varieties of Europe have spread across the globe, with some finding a home from home half a world away. This tasting will be exploring if these transplants are an improvement on the original, or if the home team still holds the advantage.
We'll be pitting the likes of New Zealand Sauvignon against classic Loire Sauvignon Blanc. Argentinean Malbec will going head to head with Cahors from the south-west of France, where originally Malbec hails from. Four varieties will be put to the test to see if the Old or the New World comes out on top.
NB: No physical tickets will be sent out. Your name will be added to the event guest list held at the store.
Tasting tickets are non-refundable, transferable up to 14 days prior to the event.
Friday 2nd May - It's All Greek To Me
7:00pm - 8:30pm
£20 per person
In world wine terms Greece is probably best described as small but mighty. They produce less than a thirtieth of the wine that titans like France do. But with a wine heritage stretching back millennia, and hundreds of indigenous grape varieties you'll not find anywhere else, it's a country that offers some unique and delicious wines.
NB: No physical tickets will be sent out. Your name will be added to the event guest list held at the store.
Tasting tickets are non-refundable, transferable up to 14 days prior to the event.
Friday 23rd May - Fizz, Fish & Chips SOLD OUT
7:00pm - 9:00pm
£40 per person
Definitely one to sign up early for - this always sells out quickly.
A celebration of how the classic British fish & chips is raised up to another level when paired with sparkling wine.
We'll be tasting three world class white sparklers, and three fantastic examples of pink fizz. To add to the fun we'll taste them blind, so our impressions aren't swayed by any 'big names'. After a vote to find the favourite wines of the night we'll be cracking open some bottles of the winners while we tuck in to our fish & chips from the always excellent Dovehouse Fish Bar
NB: No physical tickets will be sent out. Your name will be added to the event guest list held at the store.
Tasting tickets are non-refundable, transferable up to 14 days prior to the event.
Friday 13th June - Summer Whites & Roses

As summer officially starts on June 21st this seems like an ideal time to celebrate the best of white and rosé wines. Join us while we taste our way through the 4 white and 4 pink wines that have got us the most excited this year.

Friday 27th June - Local Breweries
7:00pm - 8.30pm
£20 per person
While the Midlands has said goodbye to a number of big name breweries the past decade or so has seen an explosion in the number of smaller, quality focussed independent brewers. Ranging from the traditional to the experimental our local breweries offer something for everyone.
This tasting will explore the full range of beers available from our local breweries. As far as what is local? We've settled on the arbitrary (but we think entirely reasonable) measure of breweries that you could cycle to on a warm spring afternoon, enjoy a satisfying pint, and make it home in time for tea.
NB: No physical tickets will be sent out. Your name will be added to the event guest list held at the store.
Tasting tickets are non-refundable, transferable up to 14 days prior to the event.
Friday 26th September - Whiskies of the World
7:00pm - 8.30pm
£35 per person
Despite what some Scots would have you believe, Scotland isn't the only country capable of making great whisky. In the centuries since whisky production began, countries all across the globe have picked up the habit.
This tasting will be a chance to try 6 incredible whiskies from around the world. Some that have clearly drawn inspiration from the whiskies of Scotland, others that are unique and are found nowhere else.
NB: No physical tickets will be sent out. Your name will be added to the event guest list held at the store.
Tasting tickets are non-refundable, transferable up to 14 days prior to the event.
