Collection: West Midlands Distillery

Nestled in Brierley Hill, The West Midlands Distillery is a family-run operation that’s quietly reshaping the region’s spirits scene. Founded in 2017, it began with small-batch gin, rum, and vodka, crafted with a focus on authenticity and heritage. Their copper pot stills—affectionately named Doris, Lenny, Patricia, and Sharon—are the heart of the operation, producing spirits with a bold, fruit-forward character. The distillery’s commitment to quality is evident in everything from its use of heritage grains and speciality yeasts to its hand-painted recycled glass bottles.

But the real milestone came in August 2024, when they bottled the first-ever whisky produced in the West Midlands—a single malt that celebrates the Black Country and Birmingham. With its inaugural release set for July 2025, the distillery is embracing a grain-to-glass philosophy, experimenting with cask types and fermentation techniques to create something truly distinctive. It’s not just about spirits here—it’s about storytelling, craftsmanship, and a deep-rooted pride in place.
