Alpha Box & Dice 'X' Single Vineyard Carignan / 2021 / 75cl

Carignan is a lovely and unique variety. Most often used in blends to add colour, structure or acidity, it also stands beautifully on it's own, using it's rustic charm to seduce and enlighten. Using less whole bunch than previous vintages allows for the earthy fruits to be expressed with that slight herbal note adding a complexing element without being the dominating character.

Fantastic array of spice and red fruit on the nose which carries through to the palate.  This might 'only' be medium weight but don't mistake that for meaning that there is any lack of intensity here.  Packed with subtle red fruits of all kinds, with cherry and raspberry shining through.
