Catarina Red, Bacalhoa / 2020 / 75cl

This wine is produced from Castelão and Alicante Bouschet, planted in the low-yielding vineyards of the sandy soils of Palmela in Peninsula de Setúbal, which provides the ideal terroir for rich, full-bodied and complex wines. The two varieties are vinified separately and then blended. 34% of the wine is then aged in French oak for 14 months. The wine is deep in colour, very rich and concentrated in aromas and flavours, with notes of red fruits combined with roasted nuances and well-integrated into a firm and elegant structure. Complex and long, it presents great potential for evolution. Ideal with tapas, pastas, white or red meat dishes.
