Chateau Buisson-Redon / 2021 / 75cl

Chateau Buisson-Redon is the label Château Mayne-Vieil use for wines made on the estate from vines that fall outside the Fronsac appellation. This 30 year old vineyard directly neighbours the Fronsac AOC and is planted with 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques are used with partial ageing in oak barrels to bring smoothness and elegance to this wine.

Lovely ripe cassis fruit and plenty of it with some warm woodspice, and cigar box. Very approachable but still proper claret. The palate is medium-bodied and structured with round, warm fruit and a velvety finish.
