Gin is traditionally called London Dry - but James May lives there and knows it usually isn’t. So he wanted to make a gin that would invoke that unique petrichor smell that comes from light rain hitting the pavement on a warm day. After all, who doesn’t like that smell.

The key ingredient in that petrichor smell is also present in beetroot. So they’ve combined beetroot with lovage, bay, orange, and ginger to create a gin with light notes alongside earthy tones that give a distinct rainy quality to the gin.
