La Croix Blanche Fixin, Vallet Freres / 2013 / 75cl

Located in the northern area of ​​the Cote d'Nuits, Fixin is one of the smaller appellations and grapes are grown on limestone soils with some marl patches. The vineyards have a south-east exposure at around 350m altitude. Grapes are hand picked and trodden by foot before being aged in old wooden vats. The wine is only released once ready to drink.

Fleshy strawberry aromas and a nice, weighty palate with some decent tannins.
