Les Caleches de Lanessan / 2015 / 75cl

Planted on deep Garonne gravel beds twenty years ago, the thirteen hectares of vineyards that produce this wine lie between those of two Cru Classé Saint-Julien estates: Château Beychevelle (4ème cru) and Château Gruaud Larose (2ème cru).

Winemaker Paz Espejo employs traditional techniques – pumping over, rack and return – according to the needs of the vintage and of the fruit to make Les Calèches, Château Lanessan’s second wine.

Intense cassis fruit and new oak on the nose leads to a full-flavoured, ripe palate with smooth tannins and plush vanilla oak finish.
