The bottom-fermenting yeast gives the reddish-light brown Lenten beer a slight natural haze. Its smoky aroma is already noticeable in the nose and is accompanied by a refined hop note. On the palate, this full-bodied, easy-drinking Lenten beer unfolds a strong malt aroma, which is rounded off by the smoky flavor and a subtle bitterness in the finish. Thanks to the full-bodied yeast, Aecht Schlenkerla Fastenbier is practically a snack already included.
