It's the return of a customer favourite!

There are some food and wine pairings that seem to have been preordained by a higher power.  Sauternes and foie gras, goats cheese with Sancerre, Stilton and Vintage Port are all outstanding examples but that's not where this evening will be going.

An equally exalted match is the classic British fish & chips combined with a delicious glass of Champagne or sparkling wine.  The homely, simple pleasures of softly flaking white fish encased in crispy golden batter, accompanied by salty, savoury chips are taken to another level when put together with the crisp citrus notes and naturally refreshing style of a really good sparkling wine.  Not to mention that the bubbles and acidity that a good fizz brings to the table make short work of the richness of the food, keeping the palate yearning for more.

We'll taste our way through 6 world class fizzes then, after a vote, we'll settle back to enjoy the winning two wines alongside fish and chips from the excellent Dovehouse Fish Bar
