West Midlands Distillery's second release is a wonderfully lightly peated expression. They have created this as a “gateway” into peated whisky and something they hope can engage people on both sides of the peated/unpeated whisky fence.

Named Rowielia after the Anglo Saxon words for Rowley Regis, where West Midlands Distillery are based, this release celebrates the stone, coal and smoke that made this region famous.

Their signature rich, bold, thick spirit remains at the core of this release, with light smoke throughout which opens up into a fruity expression. As with their inaugural release, each bottle is individually hand painted by the distillery team, as well as one side of the outer sleeve. The colours depict the cask and flavour profile, the key to which is inside the packaging.

Made from a blend of a first fill Heaven Hills Bourbon cask, and an ex-Islay 1/4 cask.  With only 412 bottles available this is going to go quickly!
